Based on the original fairy tale by H. Ch. Andersen

THE LITTLE MERMAID

To find love, sometimes you have to find yourself first.

Premiere: Zagreb Puppet Theatre (2026)

This adaptation was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s original tale, preserving its spirit while opening it toward a contemporary sensibility. The story follows two central narrative lines: the sea princess Nami’s search for her own identity, and the love that grows between her and Prince Dorian of the land kingdom – representatives of two long-divided worlds. The production combines puppetry and live acting, enriched with ten songs performed live on stage. Ten actor-animators take on a wide range of performative tasks, creating a dynamic and visually vivid experience for both children and adults.
