Biography
Tamara Damjanović was born on June 25th, 1987 in Osijek, Croatia. She graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, majoring in Croatian Language and Literature, and Theatre and Radio Directing at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. Her first play, A Silent Angel Flew By (2016), inspired by Chekhov’s The Seagull, paved her way into professional theatre and left a significant mark on her artistic work overall. She works across both classical and contemporary texts – prose, dramatic or film-based – exploring the intersections between dramaturgical research, adaptation and theatrical storytelling.
