a J. B. P. Molière trilogy
MOLIÈRE RELOADED
Fast-paced classics for new generations.
Premiere: Kerempuh City Satirical Theatre (2025)
This play unites The Misanthrope, The Imaginary Invalid, and Tartuffe into a single trilogy aimed at younger audiences. All three adaptations use updated contemporary language with direct references to today’s world. Across the trilogy, four young, newly graduated actors perform more than twenty roles. While The Misanthrope (in verse) and The Imaginary Invalid (in prose) keep their original forms, Tartuffe is entirely rewritten into prose and distilled to four characters: Orgon, Elmire, Tartuffe, and Dorine.
