This adaptation updated the original text for the present moment and refined the characters through distinct speech and psychological detail. The play follows four friends on a camping trip meant to celebrate a divorce – a seemingly light premise that, under the pressure of the surrounding wilderness, exposes their long-buried personal truths. Though framed as a comedy, the play unfolds with strong dramatic layers in both content and rhythm.
